Organic Aloe Vera and the skin ...Part VI

-->
While we're on the topic about Aloe Vera and skin …I had mentioned earlier that your skin is subject to many environmental conditions such as, cracking, dryness, flaking, itching, redness, roughness, scaling and aging …the environment mostly affects all of these.

However, some dramatic skin problems are the result of a serious systemic imbalance.
One such condition I'd like to talk about today is the skin condition known as psoriasis. Psoriasis results from an abnormally of the immune system. For some reason, when signals go awry in cells that protect the body from infection, the skin cell growth speeds up and produces skin lesions.

This conditions produces raised red patches covered by silvery scales on the legs, arms, scalp and the back or the lesions can break out on any part of the body. These lesions can be small or grow to large sores and cover the entire body.

As you might guess, like many of the autoimmune diseases, psoriasis is often described by the medical establishment as, etiology unknown. Yet one might be curious that with 7.5 million suffers, there are more people with psoriasis in the United States than in any other country in the world.

Are convenience foods, sugar shacks and etc. affecting your health?

Something else very interesting to think about is, the incidences of the disease are much higher in the countries that have an increased presence of convenience foods, sugar shacks and so-called fast food. Could that be why the United States has more cases of psoriasis than the rest of the world? Hmmm!

The important issue to note here is, that, the underlying cause of psoriasis is not known, but it may result from to much fat or the faulty utilization of fat: surprisingly, psoriasis is rare in countries where the diet is low in fat.

Some of the practitioners, who deal with the syndrome, suggest that it is brought on by a combination of factors including diet, environment and a lack of vitamins A and D.

The answer could be in the colon!

Nervous tension, stress, injury, illness, viral and bacterial infections, sunburn, drugs and alcohol can even trigger attacks of psoriasis. Even the build up of toxins in the colon have been linked to psoriasis.

You will find many treatments for this so-called disease by the pharmaceutical preparations. Recent use of reinoids, folic acid antagonists and corticosteroids have all been used...all with limited success and to some degree of addiction to tissue.

Although some of these treatments work well, the fact is, they are not a permanent fix unless they are used in combination with a strict diet change... along with a program to reduce stress. Of course I will share my recommendation that has helped the groups of people to whom we have introduced it.

An important note…

...eliminate all of your junk foods, processed foods, fast foods, sugar shack foods, all refined sugar and food heavy in animal fat. I recommend eating lots of fresh raw foods and include plenty of fruits, grains and vegetables. Always include plenty of fiber components, fish oil and get plenty of sun. Cleaning up the colon with a rich fiber diet is very important!

Apply topical Aloe Vera Creme to the affected area and by all means...drink plenty of clean, fresh, filtered water with two-four ounces of Aloe Vera Juice everyday and make sure it is the "best tasting aloe".

Organic Aloe Vera and the skin ...Part V

If you're like the majority of this generation...the "baby boomers"... that was mentioned in the last article, you might still have a lot of question about the skin …especially anti-aging and the skin.
If you have a personal question about your skin in general, you can contact me at ... email@healthysystems.com and I'll be more than happy to reply to your request.
Yes, it's true! Another question that's brought up at least every other day is, believe it or not, what is the proper way to wash your face and how does your diet affect your skin?
In response to what's the best way to wash your face ...lets keep it as simple as we can.
No doubt about it, the single most important skin-care advice is, don't over wash. Most adults wash too often, too long and the result is itchy, dry, irritated skin.
Another tip is, avoid deodorant type soaps as they will usually irritate your skin and dry it out. Another no-no is, don't scrub your face with a washcloth. More irritation!! Try using a soap-free cleanser in liquid form and gently massage your face with your fingertips. Rinse your face with warm water (not hot) and gently pat dry.
How does your diet affect your skin?
When it comes to skin-care, many adults forget about how important the diet is and how eating the right food is so critical for healthy looking skin.
A diet rich in good quality vitamins and fiber can restore your skin and even help correct the ravages of the sun, dehydration and the ware and tare of time. The most important nutrients for good skin are vitamins A, C and E.
Needless to say, the best way to get the needed nutrients to the skin is through healthy foods ...especially leafy and dark colored vegetables such as tomatoes and peppers. You can get additional protection by eating all the right foods.
Make sure you get your five daily servings of vegetables including carrots, sweet potatoes, mangoes, tomatoes and other carotenoid rich foods. These foods can make your skin twice as resistant to the sun's rays. Beta-carotene and lycopene, the carotenoids that give these foods their deep, rich color, will build up over time and help protect your skin from sunburn and wrinkles.
One more important point, if you're like most of the boomers ...you're always in a hurry, you're pressed for time, run, run, run and you skip your meals ...you can get your vitamins in supplement form ...but they have to be of a high quality and they need to be taken throughout the day ...morning, noon and night rather than all at once in order to be effective.
And don't forget to drink your water!! Drinking lots of water helps you skin.
Better yet, my recommendation is, drink plenty of clean, fresh, filtered water with two-four ounces of the "best tasting aloe" everyday.
Make sure your choice of Aloe Vera is 100% Organic Aloe Vera.
As always ...know your supplier.

Organic Aloe Vera and the skin ...Part IV

If you was born between the years 1948-1964 you belong to one of the largest groups in the country..."The Baby Boomers"...and this baby boomer generation, plain and simple, does not want to get old and more importantly, does not want to look old!

When it comes to the skin with this baby boomer generation, taking care of the skin is a major priority, if not the main priority. When it comes to the skin …keeping your skin looking young and healthy …what ever it takes. From skin strategies of looking younger …to the so-called smart and simple skin care solutions out there on the market today. You're willing to give them a try at least once.

However, with this countless supply of products, these new "state of the art" products, as well as, the products that have been around for a while, not to mention the procedures in advertising on TV and in the magazines …many people are unsure about how to treat common skin problems.

As I travel around this country and talk with this generation of boomers, the question always comes up ...Is there any way possible to reverse the aging once the wrinkles and the age spots start to appear?

Most, so called experts in the skin care industry will tell you, skin that has been exposed to the sun's harsh ultraviolet rays can definitely be improved. But, your first step is to limit any further damage to the skin by using a sunscreen if you're planning a trip outside.

The reason being, any ultraviolet rays from the sun are cumulative. That is, you may be in the direct sunlight for only five-ten minutes, but over time, those five-ten minutes will add up by the end of the month.

Lets take a closer look; up to 80% of all skin damage is caused by the ultraviolet rays of the sun …period. Medical fact!!

FYI …ultraviolet B (UVB) rays is the cause of sunburn and skin cancer, while ultraviolet A (UVA) rays are responsible for the damage that is associated with aging.

One more tip. Unlike UVB rays, UVA rays can penetrate your skin even on cloudy overcast days. That's why it's always important to use a sunscreen that absorbs both UVA and UVB rays with a sun-protection factor (SPF) of 15 or higher, just to be on the safe side.

My last tip for the day and a better solution: always apply a topical Stabilized Organic Aloe Vera Skin Creme to your skin about 10 minute before you apply your sunscreen.

See for yourself, it's never to late to start your personal regimen. Researchers have found that by protecting your skin in this manner on a consistent daily basis, you can actually begin to reverse the sun damage that's already occurred. Now that's some great news!!

So, until the next time...drink plenty of clean, fresh, filtered water with two-four ounces of Organic Aloe Vera everyday and be sure it is the "best tasting aloe"

Organic Aloe Vera and the skin ...Part III

With the skin being the largest organ of the body, it stands to reason that the skin, will, without a doubt, have many conditions to which you will have to deal with on a consistent daily basis.

Many of these skin disorders can be linked to the all to common "nutritional based disorders," as well as industrial pollution and the environment.

As you already know, many of the skin disorders affect the face in particular. These include acne, rashes, allergies and infection.

Lets not forget, some skin problems reflect your over all health. For example, remember that last bout of cold sores on your face, caused by infection with the virus that causes herpes simplex? And let not leave out the case of eczema. Both of these conditions reflect your general health ...a weakened immune system caused by access stress.

Remarkably, in a series of test conducted, stabilized Organic Aloe Vera gel proved 100% virucidal against herpes simplex virus in a span of seventy-two hours.

Other kinds of mild dermatitis also commonly occur on the face. (literally, inflammation of the skin).

Pimples, whiteheads, and blackheads on the cheeks, chin, and forehead are characteristic of acne.
Early treatment is important, especially to prevent permanent scarring.

The skin disorder of acne is well known in the teenage years ...often because of diet and hormonal changes ...again, a nutritional based disorder.

Let me share a little secret with you. If you're being treated for acne, remember, the skin takes more than a month to regenerate, so you may not see the improvements for about four-eight weeks. Be patient ...give it time to work.

A painful rash, can be caused by shingles, an infection of the nerves supplying the skin. The shingles infection is brought on by the herpes virus (the same virus that causes chickenpox). The virus may lie dormant for years before emerging when your immune system is weakened and your resistance to disease is low.

Many skin changes occur as part of the aging process. Your lifestyle habits have a lot to do with these age-related effects.

Here's the thing, it's important to be able to identify any abnormal changes in your skin that could indicate a health problem.

Some skin changes that occur with age. In addition to the loss of skin elasticity with age, patchy darkening of the skin often develop (age spots). Purple-brownish spots or patches (known as senile purpura) are also common, especially among middle-aged older women. They are caused by fragile blood vessels bleeding under the skin.

Here's what you need to know, when dealing with skin problems ...jump on the Organic Aloe Vera. Get it, both in you...and on you.

With that said, the recommendation stands. Drink plenty of clean, fresh, filtered water with two-four ounces of the "best tasting aloe vera" every day.

As always...know you supplier!!

Organic Aloe Vera and the skin ...Part II

In the first article about "Aloe Vera and the Skin", I mentioned the skins function, conditions with the environment and some of the many reactions effecting the skin, including allergies.

Your skin has many tell tale signs of a disorder and can be easily revealed simply by looking in the mirror.

The reflection of your face can often times reveal facts about your skin, your over all health and the presence of different diseases than any other part of your body.

In most cases, it can reflect a general problem, such as, deficiencies in your nutritional state and the effects of stress, aging, certain skin disorders, allergic reactions and the damaging habits of tobacco and of excessive alcohol consumption.

Be aware and watch for changes that affect the color of your face, including the lips and the whites of the eyes. Look for any redness, yellowing, bluish shade, paleness or darkening should also be noted.

Believe it or not, even the shape or size of your face may also indicate a skin health problem.

For example, a reddish characteristic butter-fly shaped rash could be the serious inflammatory condition that affects the body's connective tissue commonly known as Lupus erythematosus ...this condition may be helped with properly stabilized Organic Aloe Vera.

Paleness is one of the most common changes in skin color. It may be the sign of anemia caused by iron deficiency, the loss of blood or many other conditions ...even shock.

A bluish hue to the lips can indicate a serious lung or heart condition known as, cyanosis.

And let's not forget the sun. Although the sun is needed for personal health, to much sun over a prolong period of time causes the collagen and the elastic fibers to break down your skin, especially sun exposed areas like you face ...properly stabilized Organic Aloe Vera can help again.

And while we're at it, let's not forget ...aging of the skin.

Your diet, your lifestyle, your habits such as smoking, drinking alcohol and your exposure to the sun, can all accelerate these age related effects...and don't forget about your sleep habit. You need adequate rest for the body to regenerate.

When it comes to Organic Aloe Vera... I always say..."get it in you or get it on you"... especially with the children, because they love to drink the "best tasting aloe vera".

Therefore, I recommend drinking plenty of clean, fresh, filtered water with two-four ounces of Organic Aloe Vera every day.

If you have a skin condition...use the creme, gel or the lotion...get it on you.

Of course, know your supplier!!

Organic Aloe Vera and the skin.

I've been writing articles about Organic Aloe Vera and the "best tasting aloe vera" for several months now and the feedback has been very interesting, to say the least.

Today, I was asked if I could switch gears a little ...I was asked to write a series of articles about the benefits of Organic Aloe Vera and the skin.

My response was yes, I would. However, the topic of the skin is so huge that I will have to take it piece by piece, problem by problem and recommendation by recommendation.

But, before we jump into the details of the skin, for starters, lets list a few of the more common skin problems:
  • Acne
  • age spots
  • athlete's foot
  • burns, boils
  • bruises
  • cold sores
  • candidiasis
  • dermatitis
  • dry skin
  • fungus infections
  • hives
  • herpesvirus
  • insect bites
  • lupus
  • leg ulcers
  • oily skin
  • psoriasis
  • rosacea
  • ring worm
  • scabies
  • sebaceous cyst
  • seborrhea
  • skin rash
  • skin cancer
  • sunburn
  • shingles
  • warts
  • wrinkling of the skin
...now, that's just for starters!!

Right now you're wondering, where in the heck do we begin?

So, lets start here ...the skin is your body's largest organ and it's made up of three major layers.

The outer layer (epidermis), the middle layer (dermis), and the inner layer (hypodermis).

Your skin serves as the protective covering to protect the body from all of the foreign substances and helps in cooling and maintaining a proper temperature for the body.

Your skin is subject to many environmental conditions such as:
  • changing colors
  • cracking
  • dryness
  • flaking, itching
  • redness
  • roughness
  • scaling
  • thickening
  • and the one condition we most want to prevent ...aging!!

Your skin has many reactions. To list a few:
  • allergies
  • insect bites
  • plants
  • foods
  • weather
  • drugs
  • alcohol
  • tobacco

Here's an astonishing consideration. Believe it or not, 75 percent of all skin rashes in children are caused by food allergies ...especially to:
  • chocolate
  • eggs
  • peanuts
  • milk
  • dairy products
  • wheat (cereal)
  • fish
  • chicken
  • pork
  • beef

These rashes that show up as food allergies are usually pink to reddish in color with some swelling and itching involved.

Interestingly enough, through the time tested applications of the Aloe Vera cremes, gels, liniments and lotions of the Organic Stabilized Aloe Vera, it has proven itself over and over again, to aid in the healing benefits of the many skin problems mentioned in this first article of Organic Aloe Vera and the skin.

My recommendation stands...drink plenty of clean, fresh, filtered water with two-four ounces of Organic Aloe Vera every day...along with the topical application of creme or gel.

As always ...know you supplier.
